Reflexology can:

Aid in pain reduction

Reflexology is effective for pain management. When reflexology is applied to the feet, endorphins (the body’s natural pain killer) are released to help block pain signals from getting to the brain.

We live in such a busy, crowded world, yet so many of us go days or months without touching or being touched by others. Human touch can have many benefits on our body like feeling grounded, lowering blood pressure, feeling loved, safe and not alone. Think back to a time you've gone without human touch and how your pains seemed a lot stronger, but the moment someone came and gave you a hug, foot massage or rubbed your back and suddenly that 10 pain scale slide down to a 5.

Encourage homeostasis

Our lives tend to be busy and always on the go, which in turn creates lots of stress and pressure in our body. Reflexology encourages the mind and body to enter a place of deep relaxation to normalize, balance and encourage homeostasis (the body's natural healthy state of balance) within the body, which in turn helps to release stress and aids the body's own natural healing abilities.

Improve circulation

Reflexology helps break down deposits in the blood stream which can affect the circulation of blood flow. Blood carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells and removes waste products and toxins. A healthy body needs good blood circulation to function well. Stress among other factors can cause restrictions in blood flow which deprives oxygen and nutrients from getting to every cell in our body. Reflexology helps bring the body into relaxation which helps bring oxygen to these cells and helps eliminate toxins and waste.

Improve energy flow

Reflexology helps to remove blockages in our energy pathways that are located throughout our body. When energy is blocked and unable to flow properly it causes our body to become unbalanced, which in turn can cause illness.

Reflexology is safe, simple and effective

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy, which is suitable for anyone, of any age. It is however recommended that women avoid the treatment within the first three months of pregnancy. You are not required to remove anything other than your shoes and socks. Nothing is required of you other than to show up and spend 60 minutes in "YOU TIME" relaxing and de-stressing.
